Found in
- Firefox 118.0a1
Affected versions
- Firefox 118.0a1
Tested platforms
- Affected platforms: macOS 14 / macOS 11
- Unaffected platforms: Windows 11, Ubuntu 22.04
Steps to reproduce
- Launch Firefox
- Access Reddit's home page
- Scroll down the page in order to load some content
Expected result
- The main page content is loaded without issues
Actual result
- Only the first 2-3 threads are loaded
Regression range
- Will see for a regression
Additional notes
- The issue can be seen in the following attachment
- Firefox 117.0b4 and older are not affected
- This message is shown in the browser console: The resource at “https://external-preview.redd.it/X3dq7BwWSNeUHhYVAwg9EWZnzdW0rDaEwG8X76Th8PI.jpg?auto=webp&s=41609c39ac55f81573d212eaf4cf408bb74a3170” was blocked by OpaqueResponseBlocking. Reason: “after sniff: status code is not in allowed range”.
- The message above is shown on beta builds as well and on Windows/Ubuntu, but the page still loads without issues.
- May not be reproducible on the first try, but a page refresh will make it happen.
