User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/117.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Firefox
  2. Visit any website which contains elements that open a context menu on right click
  3. Right click on such an element and hover over the context menu

Actual results:

When hovering/moving over the context menu, the actual mouse cursor position (position of the element being highlighted/clickable) is offset from the visible mouse cursor position.

Expected results:

The click/highlight position is under the visible mouse cursor.

Please

  1. attach about:support
  2. try plain Mozilla binaries:
    https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_debug_Firefox_problems#Testing_Mozilla_binaries
  3. try to enable system titlebar (Hamburger menu -> More tools -> Customize toolbars and then check 'Title Bar' in left bottom corner).

Thanks.

Can confirm on 147.0.1 from official archlinux pacman. DE is KDE plasma with Kwin wayland. Issue seems to only appear the second time the context menu is opened on a new tab.

try to enable system titlebar
That does nothing.

Update: Clicking on the context menu itself while the bug is active seems to fix it. I have no idea about how firefox works, but could it be that the context menu wasn't getting the correct focus? That would explain why clicking on it fixes the bug.

Can you please test latest nightly?

We landed Bug 2003045 there which should may affects this one.
Thanks.
