Steps to reproduce:
- get a .p12 certificate file
- install it via - mail account - settings - end-to-end-encryption - s/mime-certificates administration - import
- activate it for digital signature as well as for encryption
- open new mail with the correct sender address to another mail address I have
- activate - security - s/mime and -security - signature.
- add subject and content, hit "send"
Actual results:
an error message appeared:
"Failed to send the message.
You have selected to digitally sign this message, but the application could not find the signing certificate you specified in your account settings or the certificate has expired."
(translated via deepl)
Expected results:
Signed mail with public key should have been sent.
