Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 Whenever I close a browser window, the disk drive churns for a full 4 seconds. I have timed it with a watch. It did NOT do this under ANY other versions of Mozilla. It started with 1.2 and still does it with 1.2.1. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Open a browser window. Close it. Actual Results: Disk drive chugs for 4 seconds. Expected Results: Close in a nice quiet manner, like it used to. The machine has 512MB or RAM. The swapfile is 524MB - fixed size and has been defragged. The drive with Moz and Moz's cache has been defragged. The machine has been rebooted and still does it. Quick launch is not enabled for Moz. Normal memory usage when browing is in the 250-300MB range. It DID NOT DO THIS prior to 1.2. I have been using Moz since 0.9.5. Mail does not exhibit this behavior, just the browser.
The machine has 512MB or RAM. - should read 512 MB of RAM. Normal memory usage when browing is in the 250-300MB range. - Means that ALL the applications I am running concurrently with Moz consume 250-300MB or memory. Moz itself usually is in the 64MB range. INTERESTING - Peak memory usage of Moz spiked to 260MB. This is BAD, because it has done that with only 4 browser windows running. Hmmmmm.
