Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/116.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Create an external calendar file.
- Save the calendar file as /tmp/meeting.ics (or other suitably named file).
- Start Thunderbird.
- Open the calendar file from within Thunderbird.
- Edit the calendar event.
- Add two alerts (not really relevant).
- Save the calendar event.
- Stop Thunderbird.
- Delete the calendar file.
- Start Thunderbird.
Actual results:
Event has disappeared from the calendar.
Expected results:
Event persists in the calendar.
After loading the calendar file into Thunderbird, I'd have expected a copy to have been made so that I can clean up the calendar files from my system without having to worry about losing an event. That is, never lose user data input into Thunderbird.
