User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/116.0

Steps to reproduce:

Logging into a Website which is protected via .htaccess. After successfully logging in, I'm gonna opene the DOM-inspector (DEV-Tools)

Actual results:

FF is asking for credentials again. Hitting "cancel" or adding my credentials again will result into the same... nothing happens.

Expected results:

Nothing, because I've been authenticated already. The modal with the credentials which opens after activation the dev-tools is useless (for me).

Most likely a duplicate of Bug 1696770

Can you check if disabling source maps in the DevTools settings panel avoids the issue? If it does, we are most likely hitting Bug 1696770 here.

Thanks
