+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1850323 +++
Similar to Bug 1848201, we should extend this API implementation to Firefox Desktop to allow setting an experimentation ID in "all-pings" sent by Glean. This id has been determined to be StringMetricType shaped and we can wait and let the implementation in glean-core settle to help dictate the design here.
