Steps to reproduce:
We use Sophos Central and some pages are not loading completely. In the "Global Settings" page, some links near the bottom fail to load. This has been consistent since updating to 115 ESR (I've tried .1 and .2) but worked fine on 102 ESR. Also still works fine in e.g. Edge. This is on Windows 10, 22H2, x64. Firefox ESR British English.
Actual results:
The page stops to load at a certain consistent point. Some other pages also don't load in full.
Expected results:
The page should load in full and extra links be visible or on other pages, exclusions should be visible.

The first thing that could cause this that comes to mind would be Enhanced Tracking Protection. Could you please check what mode you have set and then proceed to disable it, then recheck the page?
To do the above, once the page loads, click on the shield that is present in the address bar.
Hi,
Thanks for responding. Enhanced Tracking Protection was on its Standard setting and so was on for the site. I've turned it off via the shield as suggested but it made no difference.
I've opened a case with Sophos and they believe this to be a Firefox problem and claim the issue is present on other sites.

Thank you for the time invested and the reply. In order to sucesfully figure this out, we would need an use case which reproduces the problem. Is the Sophos ticket public and you can share it?
From Sophos: "The firefox support team can sign up for a trial from the same website, central.sophos.com and clicking on the create sophos ID.
If you look at the "Global Settings" page, Firefox stops scrolling at the Live Response feature, MS Edge shows the remaining 2 other features, Data Lake upload and Event Journals (although these vary with window size). In Firefox the bottom of the scroll bar is missing. I'll attach the screenshot they gave me.
Interestingly, I've upgraded to 115.2.1esr (64-bit) and I can now load the entire page at Sophos but there are still long pauses as I scroll down.
Thanks
Martin

I've finally managed to get around to try this out and set up a 1 month trial for sophos. Tested it out with 102.15.1esr and 115.2.1esr (64-bit), Edge 117.0.2045.41 and Chrome 117.0.5938.92 and I spotted no differences in rendering or jankiness. Also, tried a few resizes and refreshes.
Could you perhaps check what addons you are running with your Firefox profile? To keep things simple, setup a different install of Firefox (different install location) and that should automatically give you a clean default profile for that version - see if the scroll jankiness or lack of page rendering happens there as well.

Hi Adrian,
Thanks for pursuing this. I've just tried 115.2.1 on a different machine to usual with a clean install/profile and I'm still seeing stuttering when I scroll down the Global Settings page. If I scroll down perhaps 2/3 of a page with the mouse scroll wheel there can be a delay of 2-4 seconds before the blank section of screen is filled with options. It's more noticeable when I use a scroll wheel than if I page up/down or use the scroll bar on the right.

Is this still an issue with the current version of 115 ESR (or the version you are using now?) Thanks!

Just corrected the platform settings - not sure how I missed those originally.
I still find Firefox 115.12.0esr hesitates when loading some pages on the Sophos Central admin site.

This sounds like checkerboarding. If you're able to share a performance profile taken with https://profiler.firefox.com/ while this happens, that would be helpful for further analysis.
