It would be helpful to get one of your crash reports. The next time this crashes for you, would you please?
- Relaunch the browser and navigate to "about:crashes".
- At the top of the list of "Unsubmitted Crash Reports", confirm that the "Date Crashed" corresponds to the crash you just experienced.
- Click the Submit button next to the crash report.
- Scroll down to "Submitted Crash Reports" and confirm that the report you just submitted is on top of the list.
- Click the View link and copy the resulting URL. Paste that URL as a new comment on this Bug.
As mentioned in an earlier comment, there are no crashes listed in about:crashes
after the tab crashes. When attaching to the process for the tab using gdb the process exits normally.
The only crash listed is this: https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/5ab45b77-4d9a-4d3a-9dae-235ed0230905 - but the time does not correlate with any of the tab crashes, so I suspect that is a different issue.
If there's a way for me to actively monitor the tab/generate a useful report I'd be happy to do that.
Most recently, with the crashy tab active, the entire browser crashed - then repeatedly crashed when trying to start again. I've experienced 10+ tab crashes over the past few days with that tab, but it has never caused a full browser crash until today.

Thanks for posting the crash links. The reports for crashes 1, 4 and 5 are all from cookieclicker and they all report a GraphicsCriticalError of unexpected remote texture size: Size(0,0) expected: Size(995,128)
. But all the crashes have different crash stacks. We'll see if that leads to an understanding of what's going wrong here.

Setting webgl.out-of-process.async-present.force-sync=true
seems to have stopped the tab crashes, so this is likely a dupe of 1851432.
I'll leave this open in case the crashes reports don't quite line up and this is something different.

This problem was caused by an issue around mLatestRenderedTextureHost and remote texture recycling handling.
When remote textures were pushed but they were not rendered, mLatestRenderedTextureHost was not updated. But size of mUsingTextureDataHolders were increased. Since remote textures are recycled as FIFO order. If mLatestRenderedTextureHost is not updated, front of mUsingTextureDataHolders is not recycled.
Increasing the size of mUsingTextureDataHolders caused out of file descriptor problem with DMABUF.
