Steps to reproduce:

Hello,
I have problem with rewinding videos on mega.nz platform while being in full-screen mode. Steps to reproduce are simple:

  1. Open any pagewith video on mega.nz, for example: https://mega.nz/file/ny4wBYzT#6O3ZkK0lP1Q2PO5CjgU1PS5IBT4LyQS9Wz8sTop0lxE
  2. Go to full-screen mode and DO NOT open developer console (otherwise bug won't appear).
  3. Just play the video and after couple of seconds try to rewind it back using your mouse cursor or <- -> buttons on keyboard.

I tried with private mode and disabled my all add-ons to exclude their influence but was receiving same bug. On other (chromium-based) browsers issue does not exist. I'm sure it is a Firefox error, because I once had the same error on another website with a it's own player, but I assumed it was the player's fault.

I would be grateful if you could fix that.
Best regards,
A.

Actual results:

  1. The rewind sound of video will play fine, but the video will freeze for few seconds and then refresh.
  2. When you try to do this without full-screen or even with full-screen but with enabled developer console, then bug does not appear, but when you encounter that issue and open later console, you will get many errors like:
Security Error: Content at https://mega.nz/file/ny4wBYzT#6O3ZkK0lP1Q2PO5CjgU1PS5IBT4LyQS9Wz8sTop0lxE may not load data from blob:https://mega.nz/cc874583-6e0a-4f39-857d-67bf1cec8c86.

See also attached screenshot.

Expected results:

After rewinding video, it should be synced with audio, not lagged.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Audio/Video: Playback' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Audio/Video: Playback
Product: Firefox → Core

I'm not able to reproduce. Does this error in the console impact playback in some way? Looks pretty passive in nature.

Since it passed some time since my reports and I can tell you that on latest version 120.0 issue still appears. I also excluded my antivirus (ESET) because I turned off the firewall during testing.

Answering to your question - yes, it seems so because the number of occurrences of this error which is shown on the right side of my screenshot (5 + 15) match the amount of lags I got during rewinding video.

Not sure what's going on here. Can you try this in safe mode? Maybe you have an extension installed causing problems.

I am able to seek the video in fullscreen without issue, and I also don't see this error.
