Thunderbird locks up when calDAV calendar is read

Steps to reproduce:
Configured a network calendar via caldav, that is hosted on a Horde server.
as soon as the calendar is loaded Thunderbird totally locks up.
I additionally tried to sync with TbSync and I get the exact same result.
In TbSync the synchronisation finishes successfully, the lockup happens when Thunderbird tries to read / render the calendar.
I think it might be a problem with the data in my calendar.
How can I debug this? I would like to find out at which state / calendar entry the error occurs to give you more helpful information than I currently can.

In the old 102.x branch I had no issues with the sync of this calendar.
