This is a feature request that was born from mozilla/geckoview#203.

We want to be able to support multiple media tabs that can play that content at the same time. There are valid use cases mentioned in the issue, and it would be a big boost to our tablet use cases too.

We would probably have to re-think how setActive works so that more than one visible tab could be considered active, which might be a pretty big change in our architecture.
