Expected result

• The Currently unavailable error message should be displayed for these products.

Actual result

• The Page shows that the products are currently unavailable but the Shopping sidebar will not show the Currently unavailable error message.

I'm not sure this is actually bad behavior, let's discuss it during Friday triage. It's weird that FS signals that Amazon product is out of stock if it has review analysis for it and the analysis still has value.

This is expected behavior, as:

• even though the product is out of stock, it's not deleted, and the analysis data for it is still available,
• Fakespot should not take over the role of informing users about the retailer's stock.

Hi @Ania, the purpose of the Currently unavailable error message is for the users to "Report that the product is back in stock" when its available.

What about the other products that we see on the amazon page that they are currently unavailable ? shouldnt those return that error in the sidebar ? and if not, what products will show that error message ?

Temporarily out of stock and sold out items are exactly the products we need the Currently unavailable error message in the sidebar for.
The Reviews can still be displayed for it but we also need that error message to report that the product is back in stock.
If this is not the case please tell us exactly what products to look for to see the Currently unavailable error message in the sidebar.
