When I play videos from sites like vidplay or mycloud, using a Bluetooth audio output like headphones or a speaker, there is a split second of audio and then it goes silent. Video from other sites is fine, playing through laptop speakers is fine.

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/118.0
Steps to reproduce:
When I play videos from sites like vidplay or mycloud, using a Bluetooth audio output like headphones or a speaker, there is a split second of audio and then it goes silent.
Video from other sites is fine, playing through laptop speakers is fine and playing the same video in chrome is fine.
If I use safe mode or downgrade firefox the problem persists. Any ideas on whats causing this?

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Audio/Video: Playback' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

The information from the "Media" section in about:support might be useful to at least identify the hardware in use.
Does Firefox, the OS, and/or the bluetooth device think that audio is still being sent to the bluetooth device when it goes silent?
The problem just exist in Firefox. It does not happen in MS-Edge and if you play it through the speakers. Just happen with Bluetooth Headphones.

Hello! We cannot reproduce this issue with Firefox 154.0a1 (2026-06-16) on Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS 26 and Ubuntu 24. The sound works correctly on https://vidplay.to. Unfortunately, we don't have a my cloud account. We used Red Mi Buds 5 Pro on Windows 11 and macOS 26 and JBL Tune Flex 2 on Windows 10 and Ubuntu 24. Closing this. Please reopen if the issue still occurs. Thank you!
