Option for blocking the target="_blank" attribute would be fine.

My computer doesn’t have a lot of memory, so opening new browser Windows is
sometimes a painful process, so I have to look, if the link opens in new window
and use the “Open in new tab” option, where I cannot use the Back button. I
think, that option for blocking openink pages in new windows would be helpful.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on a link with target="blank" atribute
Actual Results:
Page opened in new Window.

Expected Results:
If I have the option disabled, open page in same frame, where the link is.
Already possible:

user_pref("browser.block.target_new_window", true);
