Even when using tabbed browsing they open up a new window. And as a user you can't even tell by looking at the link what the behavior will be. I don't see any reason to EVER let this decision out of the hand of the user. If I left click on a link I want the page to load in the same window/tab. If I middle click I want the page to load in a new window/tab. Period! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

Apparently, you've now filed this identical bug at least three times already (also bug 185601 and bug 185616). You should know by now NOT to keep filing it. You're just causing noise. Stop doing this. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 105547 ***
