Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/118.0

Steps to reproduce:

I use

  • collabora online code (23.05.4.2)
  • nextcloud (26.0.7 and 27.1.2) (richdocument app)
  • firefox + firefox private window (118.0.2) (and other firefox on different machine)

If I open a document and try to use ctrl-x or ctrl-c nothing happens. Ctrl-v just works fine. For comparison: if I use chromium (118.0.5993.70) all shortcuts work.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

I can confirm it might be a problem with gtk since it works on windows with firefox 118.0.2

Mmhh - about:config shows (less) gtk options on windows - so maybe not a "Widget: Gtk" problem?

Problem reproduced on:

  • ubuntu 20.04/gnome (native)
  • ubuntu 22.04/kde (mozilla-ppa)
  • manjaro/gnome (native)
  • manjaro/gnome (snap)

It's broken for the particular web apps only, right?

What do you mean by "the particular web apps only"? It affects collabora online via richdocuments app in nextcloud. I did not find this bug in any other web app but I don't know if it affects other apps. Suggestions?

I mean yo don't see that on Google docs for instance or on a general web like Wikipedia or so. Is that correct?

I don't use Google docs. But I did not experience this on any other web page yet.

One month ago I asked for help here: https://help.nextcloud.com/t/nextcloud-office-collabora-some-shortcuts-in-firefox-break-after-some-time/171350/3

I updated collabora online 23.05.4-2 => 23.05.5-3 and ctrl+x and ctrl-c in firefox on linux work now. The last time it stopped working after a while so maybe we can keep this bug open for 2 weeks or so? I will report back.

Still works (using firefox 120.0)
