In Calendar and Today Pane
'Mini Calendar' has a problem with 'blue dot' display.
In my case I only have Blue dots for Tasks, not Events.
I would prefer to not see any blue dots.

According to Article:

"Dates with an event or task are now marked with a blue dot to allow easier scanning without relying on color."

In Support Forum there is a user on release 115.4.1 who has blue dots in the mini calendar. The blue dots appear on days where there are no events or Tasks.
They have blue dots set on virtually every day which is not helpful and they only want blue dot for days with Events.

There seems to be an inconsistancy in the blue dot display which needs some attention.

There are various ways to see Events and or Tasks which already display in the Today Pane and in the Calendar itself in addition to the various lists. The blue dot in mini calendar for some people can be a clutter and/or distraction and for others it can be helpful, but if It's not helpful if people have a lot of Tasks and/or Events because the mini calendar is now full of blue dots. It now defeats the purpose of a blue dot.

I would ask in addition to sorting out what is going on, if there could be a means of setting a preference for this display. Perhaps in the Settings > Calendar area.
Options:

• Disable/switch off blue dot display
• Display only for Events
• Display only for Tasks
• Display for both Events and Tasks

This reminds me of bug 1852380 (for Tb 115) which has been marked as duplicate of bug 442035.

Blue dots show for:
Tasks
Events that are not all day events

All day events have no blue dot.
