Details
(Keywords: hang)
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130
Immediately after installing updated (1.0 to 1.2.1) Mozilla, startup prompt to
make Mozilla default browser causes system to hang if "Yes" is selected. If
"Cancel" is selected, program does not hang. Previous version of Mozilla was
uninstalled prior to installing updated version, but profile directory in
"Application Data" folder on system drive was not deleted first. Changes to
preferences from "Edit - Preferences" cannot be made without causing same
program hangup.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select "Edit - Preferences" from program menu bar
2. Make any changes
3. Try to save changes, and program hangs.
Actual Results:
Program stopped responding immediately. Forced closed with Windows XP Task Manager.
Expected Results:
Preferences should have been saved, and program should have continued responding.
No theme is required to make this occur. No dialog is given following the
problem, as the program fails to respond. Program is forcibly halted with Task
Manager.
