Environment:
Operating System: Windows 10 PRO x64
Firefox version:Firefox Nightly 121.0a1 (2023-11-05)
Preconditions:
Clean profile
Steps to reproduce:
- Navigate to : https://www.pinterest.com/pin/1477812370452842/
- Perform account login.
- Click on the meatball menu and click on the "Download image" option.
- Observe the format of the downloaded image.
Expected Behavior:
The image is downloaded using the .jfif extension
Actual Behavior:
The image is downloaded using the .jpg extension
Notes:
- Reproducible regardless of the status of ETP.
- Reproducible on the latest build of Firefox Nightly and Release.
- Works as expected using Chrome.
- Screenshot attached
- Issue found during WebCompat team [Top100] websites testing

Verified this issue and still reproduces on Firefox 123 and 125.
Notes:
The image can not be opened.
Tested with:
Browser / Version: Firefox Release 123.0 (64-bit)/ Firefox Nightly 125.0a1 (2024-02-20) (64-bit) /Chrome Version 122.0.6261.58 (Official Build) (64-bit)
