RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1863491

People

(Reporter: dr2017, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/119.0

Steps to reproduce:

Run Firefox for several minutes.

Actual results:

Keyboard scrolling begins to stick, sometimes taking several seconds for the page to respond while pressing the down arrow key. Also typing into text boxes becomes sluggish. This is particularly noticeable in heavy javascript sites such as Twitter. Even posting this bug with bugzilla.mozilla.org. was very difficult.

Expected results:

Should be smooth and fast as 115esr is.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::DOM: UI Events & Focus Handling' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → DOM: UI Events & Focus Handling
Product: Firefox → Core

Thanks for the report. The symptoms sound like content process hangs, not issues with UI handling per se. Also, given that this is a recent regression on 121 and Twitter seems to be involved, I think this is a dupe of bug 1863491, which should be fixed now, so please update Nightly and hopefully that will be okay.
