Details

Steps to reproduce:

I see the other issue (496660) is closed for no reason.
This is the only thing that keeps me from migrating from Chrome.
Tbh, I'm really surprised it wasn't done by default in an app that touts privacy. What privacy if any other app on my system can read my passwords?!
You could argue that every now and then a researcher finds a bug in Apple's TCC, but that applies even to cryptography, and some protection is certainly better than no protection.
I emphasize again that I'm not asking to use Keychain for every single password, but just for the master password that is randomly generated on the first use.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Toolkit::Password Manager' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.
