Details
STR:
- Set browser.privatebrowsing.felt-privacy-v1 to true
- Open a private window
Actual:
The content of the old private window start page is visible during the window creation. This causes a very visible jump of the content and the window creation feels slow. Please see the following screencast:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fax2VqefuuY
You can change the speed to 0,25 on YouTube to see it even better.
Expected:
No felt performance issue.

Cieara, would you be able to assign an appropriate priority and severity for this bug? Thanks.

Is this a dupe of bug 1858405?

Cieara, does this actually match the definition of S2 ("Major functionality/product severely impaired or a high impact issue and a satisfactory workaround does not exist" from https://wiki.mozilla.org/BMO/UserGuide/BugFields#bug_severity)? It seems more of an annoyance than a very high impact issue.
Downgraded to S3 to match Bug 1858405
