Once we're comfortable that we don't see any issues in telemetry with XPCOM based notifications in the default agent, we should migrate to fully asynchronous notification handling to remove the 12 hour timeout. This necessitates a discontinuity in telemetry as default browser telemetry necessarily will be decoupled from notification results.
