Affected platforms

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open a PDF with multiple pages.
  2. Highlight different words.
  3. Add a Drawing.
  4. Add Text to the PDF.
  5. Add images to PDF.
  6. Hit CTRL + A on the keyboard.
  7. Click the Delete button from a Highlighted word.

Expected result

  • Since each Highlight has their own delete button, users might think it will only delete that highlighted word.
  • We could allow the users to individually delete each Highlight individually while they are all being selected and have a separate button for Delete all Highlights, Drawings, added Images.
  • We could also limit Ctrl + A to the Selected Tool, if the Highlights tool is enabled we would only select all Highlights with Ctrl + A.
  • Disabling the Highlight Tool and then Hitting Ctrl + A we would Select everything from Added text, Drawings, Added images as well as Highlights.

Actual result

  • Ctrl + A will select everything and when the user tries to delete a single Highlight while they are all selected, everything will be deleted, Including images, drawings, Added text and created Highlights.
