Details

Found in

  • version: 122.a1

Affected versions

  • version1: 122.a1

Tested platforms

  • Affected platforms: Mac 14.1, Mac 13.6
  • Unaffected platforms: Win10, Ubuntu22

Preconditions

  • precondition: Have the security.webauthn.enable_macos_passkeys pref set to true
  • securitykey: Feitian ePass FIDO2 Security Key A4B

Steps to reproduce

  1. Visit google.com webpage and login with a valid account on Firefox.
  2. Go to Manage your Google Account > Security.
  3. Add a passkey using a Security Key - Make sure to select "Use other device" when google opens a dialog to Continue when adding passkey.

Expected result

  • User should be able to create a passkey using a security key.

Actual result

  • User is not able to create a passkey using a security key.

Regression range

  • Not a regression as this is a new feature.

Additional notes

  • I removed the passwords from keychain, started firefox with a new profile, reset the Feitian device and added a new Pin, but still I am not able to add the passkey using Feitian security key.
  • I was able to add passkey with same security key on both Win10x64 and Ubuntu 22.
