Steps to reproduce:
In the tasks tab, from the column-selector widget on the right-hand-side, select the "title" and "start" columns only. Now drag the start column to the left side and resize it to the smallest width allowable. Close and reopen Thunderbird.
Actual results:
The tasks tab now shows the two columns as having equal width. If you try to shrink it again, the column only shrinks at half the rate that the mouse moves, which means you have to click and drag several times to get it back to the correct size.
Expected results:
The columns should maintain their width after resize, and you should be able to resize them to the desired width with a single drag.
