Have used 1.2.1 on my Mac for about four weeks with generally very good results.
Have selected preferences I like, customized the toolbar and added lots of
bookmarks. A few hours ago when I opened Mozilla the default screen came up just
like the first time I opened it. Can't find the settings. Have found the
bookmark file.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Mozilla by double clicking the alias on my finder

Actual Results:  
Same thing as described in the details.

Expected Results:  
I expected the browser window to open with all the settings I had selected over
the past four weeks of use.

..also has this trouble. One of the machines here loses the preferences about
every week or so. History and autocomplete history remain untouched (I think)
but the preferences are all reset to Mozilla defaults.

I've just gotten a report from two other users that their Mozilla installations
(identical browser id string to the one I posted in my previous comment) have
had a similar occurance. One less than four days after installation, and one
about 8 days after installation.

Experienced very similar problems. Restarted Mozilla (1.2.1 Mac OS X 10.1.3)
after it went unresponsive on an Apple webpage, all preferences lost (prefs.bak
is still there with all the settings) plus all bookmarks lost (bookmarks.html is
essentially empty), cookie sites, passwords on so on. But history is still there.

This should be fixed in Mozilla 1.3
