Steps to reproduce:

nothing, i just run firefox the morning and close it in the evening.

Actual results:

in the morning (the start of the instance), i have the update notification dialog and i click "DISMISS". it will come back many times in the whole day ! it is a bully because it never remind i already say DISMISS in the same instance in the same day !

Expected results:

i would like :

• best practice : add a button "remind me in a couple a hours/in one day/in one week"
• other practice : never ask many time in the same day and same instance !!

I will confirm that this report as an enhancement. After clicking "Dismiss", the dialog appears again in the same session.
Please set a more appropriate component if the chosen one isn't correct.

It's not clear to me whether or not this is a defect. If the notification is showing more often than it should, this could be a defect. I'm going to keep it as a defect until it has been triaged and we can determine the nature of the report more accurately.

in my own judgement it is a defect because in previous release (where i was before i update, maybe 88), this notification appeared only 1 time by instance .
it is 12h52, i opened firefox this morning at 7h30 and i've been notified already 3 times whereas i clicked "dismiss" each time!

hi,
just a message to say i'm now in 115.7.0esr (32-bits) and the notification still arrived many times in one session !
so i guess the bug is not fixed yet...
