Steps to reproduce:

Write an e-mail. Select some text and press Control + U.

SeaMonkey 2.53.18
Useragent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/91.0
Buildnaam: 20231128204555

Actual results:

Nothing. This has been for several years.

Expected results:

Underlined text.

The menu option and U-icon are working.

Hi,
If you are using the nl locale, in the compose window please look through the drop menus from the menu toolbar to see if any of the menu items have Ctrl+U linked to them. The only one it should show is under Format > Text Style > Underline

Otherwise, do you have any extensions / add-ons installed?
If so, have you tried disabling all the add-ons to see if the problem still happens.

Everything in the menu is working. The shortcut is not working. In other wordprocessors and programs it is working.

There are no extensions / add-ons installed, only pdf.

I can not reproduce it with en-US but in nl it seems to clash with rewrap. Selected text is rewrapped. I am not the localizer but will see if I can change rewrap to Ctrl+R for the next release as in Thunderbird.

Will be fixed in 2.53.21. I tested and both rewrap and Underline Shortcuts work in nl now. If not please reopen.
