Considered the space taken by elements is still there, I suspect there is some graphics problem here, like the element not being rendered properly.
Is the problem reproducible in troubleshoot mode?
Could you please attach a log from about:support?
The problem also occurs in Firefox 122(from Mozilla Repo), Flatpak, Snap and Firefox ESR. In Debian 12 an Testing, also in Ubuntu 24.04.
Reproducible with a new profile. I have not tried the "troubleshoot mode" mode with my profile. I have created a completely new .mozilla.
I can now narrow down the problem. The behavior only occurs when I switch Firefox in settings to German. The problem does not occur in English.

I can reproduce some weirdness with 121, en-US build on Ubuntu. Feels like a layout or graphics bug. E.g. just putting that window in the background and re-foregrounding it makes invisible separators re-appear. In fact, just unfocusing the window fixes it. I can't even switch to the browser toolbox to look at styles for hidden separators...
