This seems true of other code in third_party/rust as well.

I think bug 1846041 was filed as a result of a similar discussion on CMO (note that using /goto THELINK from inside an existing CMO session is really the only viable way to use the link). I'll update its subject to include "third_party" to make it easier to find (I had trouble finding it, that is; I'd always prefer someone file a bug than not file a bug because they assume it must already be filed!).
