Open Firefox in private browsing mode using the shortcut Cmd + Shift + P.
Open two tabs and navigate to google.com in both tabs.
Close the first tab.
Press Cmd + Shift + T to restore the closed tab.
Actual results:
The closed tab is successfully restored, indicating an inconsistency in the expected behavior of private browsing mode.

This is currently the expected behavior - we try to provide a baseline of browser behavior for both normal and private windows. There is some more discussion about this in bug 1808085 and if it should change.
