187498 - After checking for new email, many messages imported from OE became unread

Today, when I checked for some new emails(and got two or three), suddently I saw
a message at the botton saying something about "Refreshing mail (something I
cant recall goes here)", and then suddently all of my imported email from
Outlook express (which had been imported in the Inbox folder and was initially
all "unread" until I clicked on every one of the 434 messages)...became unread
again! Notably, the "unread" counter next to the folder name became from 3--->
437! After this happened, I couldnt read the 3 emails that I got..They wouldnt
get displayed in the mail content window,and I was forced to delete them.
I cant reproduce this problem, happened once but I d say it was annoying.
Plus, in my "Sent" items (imported from Outlook Express again) although I have
clicked on every single message and all are read (even tried the "show only
unread" messages setting) it keeps displaying next to the folder that I have 42
unread messages. This is depicted in the screenshot I entered in the above URL.
Finally, considering all the hassle the first problem got me through I request a
"Mark as read" feature that I can use together with "Select all" if this happens
again. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
(Decribing the "Sent Items incorrect number" bug, second part of the detailed
description. Could not reproduce the first one although I tried.)
1. Used the "Import from Outlook Express" feature in the Import.
2. Moved the Sent items from the local folder to the account folder.
3. Sent items counter wont display correctly.

Actual Results:

the detailed description. Could not reproduce the first one although I tried.)

The sent items counter was stuck to 42 messages although no obvious unread
messages were there.

Expected Results:  
First part: Should have left the counter of unread mail to "3" and not make it
437, while highlighting as unread all my imported messages in the Inbox.
Second part: Should display no number of unread messages instead of "42"

Configuration of PC:
CPU: Celeron 1 GHz
RAM: 384 RAM
Windows version: XP with SP1
Display: ATI Radeon 7200 on a Sony E100E monitor.
