Steps to reproduce:

using the official Firefox archive, "firefox" binary and not "firefox-bin"

on a Distro using hardened_malloc, firefox does not launch

Actual results:

. ./firefox
fish: Unknown command: \x7fELF\cb\ca\ca
./firefox (Line 1):
ELF⏎

Expected results:

launch normally

Exact steps to reproduce:

use secureblue, which is a Fedora variant using hardened_malloc

github.com/secureblue/secureblue

I am using the variant with user namespaces enabled

I could reproduce this using a freshly downloaded firefox-bin too. But here it showed an error and that it saved a crash report

crash report when launching "firefox" yesterday. For some reason the crashes today did not produce logs.
