Details

1. Load a page with a vertical scrollbar (any page, but one with no background
image will be good for this test).

2. Click and drag the scrollbar block, so you're manually scrolling with the
buttons, not the wheel or keyboard. While holding the button down, move the
mouse left so you're over the content window (just barely, so we still control
the scrollbar), Then -

3. While holding down the left mouse button (so the scroller is still active),
right click (And hold!), move the mouse over to a greyed out context menu
selection (Such as View Image background, when there is no image, for example),
THEN let go of BOTH buttons while over this disabled option, then move the mouse
back over the scrollbar.

Result: It should follow the mouse without holding down a mouse button, and the
menu stays visible, and neither stops until you click again.

As to what the correct behavior should be, that's debatable. But the scrollbar
should not be active when a context menu is, and definetly not when there are no
mouse buttons depressed.

With help from #mozillazine, this has been seen on my WinXP, and several Win2k
boxes, but we still have no "Win32 All" option, so... :) No idea about Linux yet.

To recap, and to be clear:
Left Click on scroll, hold down.
Move left to content no more than an inch or so, right click.
move to disabled option on context menu.
Release left mouse button (and right if still depressed)
Move right to see scrollbar still active with no mouse buttons pressed.

More notes: Also happens in Mailnews, Composer, etc, on ANY scrollbar, including
form text boxes, frames, etc. Marking at ZP Apps: GUI Features due to this. If
that's misplaced, sue me. :)
Ah hell. As soon as I hit Submit, someone shows me the potential dupe... Looks
like I just duped bug 48037... Someone wish to confirm?
Sorry for the spam. It's a dupe.
