User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:123.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/123.0
Steps to reproduce:
I am not really sure how to reproduce the issue. I have two windows open with multiple tabs and at work I have three windows of multiple tabs.
One is windows 11 the other is 10. Both have more than enough memory 32 and 16.
Actual results:
All the windows on firefox freeze. I can still hear youtube in the background playing but the actual ui is frozen. Hovering over tabs doesn't highlight them. Same with the other buttons including the close button. I have to close the windows and reboot firefox. I am using the developer edition.
This has happened a couple of times. Sometimes after a long time once almost as soon as I rebooted.
Expected results:
The expected result is nothing should be happening.

Hey Andre,
I had a look.
"When Firefox hangs, it stops responding to your clicks and keystrokes and doesn't seem to be doing anything. Also, a "(Not Responding)" label is displayed in the title bar and the mouse cursor becomes a spinning wheel when it's over the Firefox window. This article gives you solutions to Firefox hangs depending on when they happen. "
None of this happened. Everything looked normal and sounded normal but nothing was changing graphically, I couldn't switch tabs, there was no hover effects etc.
It hasn't happened again. I will try gather more information if it occurs again.
If there is something specific I need to do for logging, please let me know and I will do it.

Alexander Rorich, does this issue occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? (Safe Mode disables add-ons, extensions and themes, hardware acceleration and some JavaScript in order to exclude some possible reasons for problems.)

This actually popped up again at work.
I can try running it in safe mode, I am also coding a fair amount of javascript for work so it may be difficult.
This issue wasn't happening last month.
Also, this is happening on my personal pc where I have maybe adblocker as the only extension and I don't code at all.
I will attempt safe mode

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Session Restore' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

I'm not sure the bot is correct here - there's no indication this is Session Restore-related.
- Can you attach the output of about:support from the pc and profile that is experiencing the hang?
- Roughly how many tabs are open in each window?
- Is there anything in particular you are doing when the hang happens?

I have about 16 tabs at home
A bit more at work maybe like 25 - 30.
At home I notice it when I am youtube.
At work it just kinda happens as I am refreshing work.

(In reply to Alexander Rorich from comment #2)
None of this happened. Everything looked normal and sounded normal but nothing was changing graphically, I couldn't switch tabs, there was no hover effects etc.
Based on this, moving across to Core -> Graphics, so that team can have a look.
