I upgraded from 1.0 (worked great) to 1.2.1. Mozilla 1.2.1 splashscreen stays on
screen all the time after launching from desktop or taskbar icon. However will
launch OK from 3rd party software, or a link in Outlook email. When exiting
Mozilla 1.2.1, it will not restart again. Windows Taskmanager shows that
Mozilla.exe is still running in the background. To run Mozilla again, I have to
end the process from Taskmanager. I did not experience these problems with
previous version.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.See Details page
2.
3.

Actual Results:
As above

Expected Results:
Mozilla should launch

I hope you took time to follow the Installation Notes when installing.

Can you try this:
Delete the file compreg.dat (when mozilla is not running)
Then restart. Does it still hang on quit?

If yes: Kill off the mozilla process(es) - then delete XUL.mfl (in your profile
directory. Restart. Any change now?
Problem fixed! I deleted compreg.dat as you said, and this fixed the problem.
Thanks.

I left XUL.mfl alone.
