Paul found this using 2003.01.06.04... strangely, i cannot reproduce this on my own machine. 1. make sure you're displaying only one page (no multitabs). go to the urlbar and load http://www.nytimes.com 2. after the page finishes loading, open another tab (cmd-T). 3. click on the previous tab in step 1. results: crash. no talkback, not even the crash reporter appears. we thought this might be profile weirdness, so i had Paul move the contents of ~/Library/Application Support/Chimera/ ...but this problem still persisted. are there other things we could try? Paul, what version of OS 10.2 are you running? fwiw, my machine has 10.2.3.
What versoin of the Flash plugin to you have installed? Try visiting http://www.mozilla.org/projects/chimera/welcome.html

d'oh! but of course... just checked about:plugins, and he had v6.0 r40. Paul's going install the latest, to see whether that takes care of this issue.
After getting the latest flash plugin the crash went away and now the home page also loads correctly.
