Bug 1880427 shows a case of a specific sync IPC message blocking a process during shutdown. A query on crash-stats shows, that this is a case for some different IPC messages.

We might want to take a look at the most frequent ones first and then maybe start to audit sync-messages.ini if all of these need to be sync.
