Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open new instance of FireFox
  2. Click "Restore Down" or move window so it's in windowed more
  3. Resize window from any corner

Actual results:

The bottom right corner of the window snapped to where my cursor was.

Expected results:

The window should be resizing from the corner I drag from.

Hello! I have tried to reproduce the issue with firefox 125.0a1(2024-02-20) on Ubuntu 22.04, unfortunately I wasn't able to reproduce the issue on my end.
Could you please answer the following questions in order to further investigate this issue:

  1. Does this issue happen with a new profile? Here is a link on how to create one: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles
  2. Does this issue happen in the latest nightly? Here is a link from where you can download it: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/desktop/
  3. Do you have any addons installed? If yes could you please list them?

  1. It does not happen with a new profile.

It may be related to your profile setup but I have no idea what can cause it.

Should I post my profile, or at least part of it, to assist in debugging or should that be entirely avoided?

I think you need to migrate your profile (refresh it) to fix it:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings

I refreshed my profile and it worked initially, even after all my synced extensions were back, but once I restored my session with a few pinned tabs the issue came back. I've attempted to remove all pinned tabs, close, then reopen FireFox and it still persisted.

Version: Firefox 123 → Firefox 128

Confirmed that the bug is still happening in FireFox

This bug seems to have disappeared with the release of Plasma 6.1 on Arch Linux. I will continue to keep an eye out for it though.
