Steps to reproduce

  1. open a new tab (important)
  2. Type https://example.com into the Awesome bar (or enter any search term instead)
  3. Press Return
  4. Observe that the lock with a red strike through line is displayed for a short time indicating an insecure connection

Expected behavior

The lock indicating a secure connection is displayed the full time.

Actual behavior

The insecure connection is displayed for a short time.

Chrome avoids this problem by not showing a lock icon on secure pages. Chrome shows a site permissions icon on secure pages and a warning icon on insecure pages.
