Expired user activation flags for Bounce Tracking Protection are currently only cleared when the bounce tracker purging algorithm runs. For manual testing in Nightly the periodic purging can be disabled privacy.bounceTrackingProtection.bounceTrackingPurgeTimerPeriodSec = 0
. This is helpful for testing which sites get classified (before turning on the mechanism in Nightly by default).
Adding a nsIBounceTrackingProtection#testClearExpiredUserActivations
method will allow for manually triggering clearing of expired user activation flags.
