Steps to reproduce:
- Bookmark at least three links to 'Other Bookmarks'
- Drag and rearrange one bookmark in 'Other Bookmarks'
- Once you drop that bookmark, the bookmark above of it will auto open
Actual results:
For example, you bookmark a(dot)com, b(dot)com and c(dot)com in 'Other Bookmarks', when you drag and rearrange a(dot)com to between b(dot)com and c(dot)com. Then b(dot)com will auto open.
Expected results:
Dragging and rearranging bookmarks should not auto open the bookmarked links above of it.

I cannot reproduce the bug on Windows 11 nor Ubuntu 22.
Could you please tell us more about your Linux system, which distribution and window manager are you using?
Off-hand it looks like it is producing a spurious click event at the drop operation, maybe it's some special option around mouse handling.
I am using Arch Linux with KDE on Wayland. The firefox is from official Arch repo and using Wayland protocol.
Upon further testing, this bug only occurs when using Wayland KDE and Wayland Firefox. Meaning this bug doesn't happen when Wayland KDE and XWayland Firefox is used. This doesn't happen in X11 KDE session.

Can you try different compositor like Mutter?
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_debug_Firefox_problems#Testing_different_Wayland_compositor
Thanks.
Hi. I have tried testing on Mutter compositor following the guide you provided. This bug doesn't occur in Mutter compositor but happens in KWin compositor.

Hello! I have tried to reproduce the issue with firefox 125.0a1(2024-02-28) on Ubuntu 22.04, unfortunately I wasn't able to reproduce the issue on my end.
Could you please answer the following questions in order to further investigate this issue:
- Does this issue happen with a new profile? Here is a link on how to create one: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles
- Does this issue happen in the latest nightly? Here is a link from where you can download it: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/desktop/
- Do you have any addons installed? If yes could you please list them?
- Yes, I have tried with a fresh new profile and it happens.
- Yes, it also happens on Firefox Nightly v125.0a1 (2024-02-29) (64-bit).
- List of my addons
Facebook container, Multi container, Firefox Relay, NoScript, Privacy Badger, UBlock Origin, KeePassXC, Dark Reader, REHS, Web Archives, Single File
Hi again. I just tested this on a fresh Arch Linux with KDE Plasma in a virtual machine. This bug doesn't occur with Plasma 5 (Wayland) but occurs with Plasma 6 (Wayland). Maybe this is Plasma 6 related.
