Steps to reproduce:

  1. Enable the high contrast theme on Windows.
  2. Open any text file on github.
  3. Observe that the code blends with the background color, rendering it invisible.

Actual results:

text invisible

Expected results:

text should be visible

This doesn't seem about color: transparent. there's a transparent textarea on top of the text, the issue is that it still has a background even though it should be transparent.
