Details
Note
- The Windows are not properly rendered at launch, before focusing them. This issue occurs in Wayland Window Protocol and does not occur in X11 Window Protocol.
Found in
- Beta v125.0b1
Affected versions
- Beta v125.0b1
Tested platforms
- Affected platforms: Ubuntu 22 + Wayland
- Unaffected platforms: Ubuntu 22 + X11
Steps to reproduce
- Launch the browser with Profile Manager.
- Click the "Create Profile..." button
- Enter a profile name
- Click the "Choose a folder" button
- Select a folder that contains some data.
- Finish the profile creation.
- you can open the browser with this profile, but this step is not necessary.
- Select the profile in the Profile Manager.
- Delete the profile along with its files.
Expected result
- Only the user profile related files are deleted.
Actual result
- The entire selected folder is deleted, along with the files that it contained before the profile was appointed to this folder.
Regression range
- unknown
Additional notes
- A user might expect the Profile Manager to create a folder for the profile files inside the location selected (in step 5). A suggested solution would be to create a folder inside the location selected to place the profile into. This way, when deleting the profile, other data will not be deleted along with it.
