Affected Version:

• Firefox 123.0.1 (64-bit)

Affected Platforms:

• MacOS 14.1 (23B2073)

Steps to Reproduce:

• 1.launch firefox
• 2.Click on the empty boxes (website navigation shortcut) within the webpage.

Actual Results:

• The empty white boxes is clickable and also can be focuesd by "Tab" key
• Clicking on the empty white boxes yields no response.

Expected Results:

• Click on the empty box to show some pop-ups.
• Empty content boxes should feature an indicative icon, such as a plus sign (+), to signal the user to add or edit content.
• Alternatively, the empty white boxes are not clickable

I was able to reproduce the issue on Mac 12.6 using FF build 123.0.
Marking issue as new for engineering input. Might be related to enhancement 1726446.
