It is quite hard to explain, what is actually wrong, but i've prepare
interactive testcase to demonstrate a problem. Please run it, select every
combination of position and box offset properties and look, how <DIV> and
<TABLE> elements are rendered while same styles are applied to both of them.
This testcase is built with Mozilla trunk build 2002122708. It looks like this
bug have something similar with bug 98579, but this one covers more exact
problem - only with <TABLE> element.

Hmm... maybe i'm wrong, because i don't know Mozilla's internals, but it looks
like bug 53663, this bug is marked duplicate of is dedicated to a slightly
different things. It is only covered 'top' and 'left' properties, while this bug
is also for demonstrating that absolute positioned <TABLE> elements are handled
percentage values for 'top' and 'left' incorrectly while setting them to pixel
values cause <TABLE> to be positioned properly.
So i think either this bug should be treated as separate one or description of
bug 53663 should be extended.
