User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20030108 Chimera/0.6+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20030108 Chimera/0.6+ I think Chimera should add support for Address Book bookmarks, just like Safari. I think this would be a very usefull adition for Chimera. It would integrate Chimera more into the "digital hub" Apple clearly uses. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual Results: Chimera isn't able to import or show the links/url's that are in the Address Book data base. Expected Results: Chimera should be able to import the links/urls used in Apples' Address Book. - Chimera could automatically import those url's on first launch. And add the to the Bookmarks data base files of Chimera. So in the Bookmarks menu and Bookmarks Sidebar there would be a folder that contains al the url's that are available in the Address Book data base. - Chimera could have an option in the Manage Bookmarks submenu where you can choose to have Chimera import the url's from the Address Book data base.
Yup.

The problem with fixing bug 187454 (autocomplete form fields) affects this rfe as well, since an app that directly tries to talk to the AddressBookFW will fail to launch on pre-10.2. So -- like outlined in that bug's comments -- Camino would need to include a separately loaded bundle that takes care of what this bug is about as well as the autocomplete issue, so that if the app is running on 10.1, the bundle won't get loaded but the app itself can execute.
Should be fixed by bug 212630? David how does your Bookmarks system rewrite apply to the issues noted in Comment #2?
patch in 212630 has address book support as separate bundle, so 10.1 compatability is maintained.
Depends on: 212630
