User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021212 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021212 The Profile option should be controlled by a key under /Edit/Preferences. On single-user machines, who needs a profile anyway? If you attempt to create a Default User profile under Mozilla, it does not show up under Mozilla but it does show up under Netscape. If you delete all profiles under Mozilla, it attempts to adopt the ones under Netscape. But that may not be what you want, particularly if you don't want any profiles under either Mozilla or Netscape. The Home Page setting is easily hi-jacked by some adware, such as LOP.COM and WFIX.COM. It would be better if you could force a reset of the home page when restarting and otherwise prevent adware from making a change without the user consent. If the user approves, then that becomes the new default setting. If you delete all profiles under Mozilla or Netscape, you can crash the browser when you try to use it. The problem is taken care of when the system is restarted. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
It is not recommended to use one profile with both Mozilla and Netscape, because this may lead to problems (as you noticed ;-) Please create a new bug report for each bug you observe. Do not describe several bugs within one bug report.
